If you're experiencing issues with the HuntStand app, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the problem. If you continue to experience any issues after doing so, please submit a request to contact our support team.
-
Restart your phone: By restarting your mobile device, you can resolve temporary glitches or conflicts that might be affecting the HuntStand app's performance. Press and hold the power button on your phone, and then select "Restart" or "Reboot" when the option appears.
-
Update the HuntStand app: Ensure that you have the latest version of the HuntStand app installed on your phone. HuntStand frequently releases updates to address bugs, improve performance, and add new features. Visit your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store), search for the HuntStand app, and update it if a newer version is available. In order to do so, you may need to update the iOS or Android OS software installed on your mobile device.
-
Clear app cache/data: Accumulated cache or corrupted data can cause issues with an app. To clear the app cache and data, go to your phone's settings, find the "Apps" or "Applications" section, locate the HuntStand app, and select it. From there, you should see options to clear the cache and/or data associated with the app.
-
Please note that clearing data will remove your HuntStand app settings and login credentials therefore you may need to log back into the HuntStand app after doing so. Additionally, clearing your cache from the HuntStand app will delete any Offline maps you may have previously downloaded.
-
-
Check internet connection: The HuntStand app requires a strong network or Wi-Fi connection to function correctly (three out of four service bars) unless you have downloaded an Offline map to use while you do not have service. Please ensure that you have a reliable network connection, whether it's Wi-Fi or mobile data. If you would like to verify your network connection, you can try accessing other websites or apps.
-
Force stop and restart the app: If the HuntStand app is unresponsive or frozen, you can force-stop it. Go to your phone's settings, navigate to the "Apps" or "Applications" section, find the HuntStand app, and select it. Tap on the "Force Stop" button, then relaunch the HuntStand app from your home screen or app drawer.
-
Check for system updates: Outdated operating system versions may have compatibility issues with the HuntStand app and you may be unable to update your app without an updated OS version. Check if there are any available system updates for your phone and install them if necessary. This can usually be done in the settings under "System" or "Software Update."
-
Reinstall the app: If none of the previous steps have resolved the issue, please try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it. This process can help eliminate any corrupt files or settings. If you wish to do this, please be sure to manually sync your Hunt Areas prior to uninstalling your HuntStand app in order to prevent data loss. Next, find the HuntStand app in your phone's app list, long-press on it, and select "Uninstall" or "Remove." Then, visit the App Store or Play Store and reinstall the app from scratch.
